5 Signs that you are Eric Murphy

In honor of the last season of Entourage we’ve decided to do a test to determine if you are an Eric Murphy. If you’ve followed Entourage from the first season you already know who Eric Murphy is, well for the readers who don’t  know who Eric Murphy is;  he is the hopeless romantic of the group who always wants to commit, never single, and naïve when it comes to women.

So here are 5 signs you are or someone you know is a Eric Murphy

1. Whenever a girl calls your phone, and you’re with your friends, you screen the call, and even walk away before you pick up. After the call you won't admit who you were talking to, even though everyone knows who it was. Sometimes you even answer the phone to an Ex when on a DATE with a current girlfriend.

2. You always overdress - ever find yourself wearing a shirt and smart pants when everyone else is in jeans and a tee? This is classic Murphy, whether you think it'll make you stand out from the group or maybe you’re just insecure about your appearance, who knows. 

3. You love being right. Ever hear somebody say something you disagree with and can't help yourself from butting in, or laughing. Even if your best mate is dying to do something, and you know it's none of your business, you still try and argue your point. And then if you lose the argument, you go in a huff.

4. Never moving on. You think that special girl is going to be around for ever, and every other girlfriend in between is just temporary. You compare girls to her, you do favors for her, you think about her more than you know you should.

5. You can't hookup with a girl without catching feelings for her; typical Murphy behavior through out the series there's always some girl who he starts to like after messing around.

Goal Drought

Every players and managers worst nightmare a goal drought, it happens in football a talented player for whatever reason has stopped scoring for his team. So how do you end the goal drought? Most managers put that player on the bench till they snapped out of it and replace you with somebody else. Real life scenario how do you snap out of a goal drought? And no own goals do not count. Well you look to your reserve and see if there’s anyone who can do the job if not it’s back out to the transfer market you go hitting the clubs, bars, and parties till that awful drought ends.

Sometimes even the most seasoned pro can't bring himself to pick on of the reserves, and it can be difficult to take such a gamble, how will you be judged by team mates? And how will it affect your reputation?

In a drought, you can do two things, either change your style of play, or change your scouting network. In real life this means either start getting ruthless, or ditch the gentleman act, and just goes in for the kill, or you can start looking for dates and women in new areas.

I would recommend the previous, stick to the same people but stop messing around, and go in with a huge bid that can't be refused. This means pulling out all the stops. Like someone? Ask her out, matter of fact tell her your taking her out, and that she's gonna have the night of her life - in football terms, show her your clubs ambition. Give her no choice but to sign. 

The last option which usually ends a goal drought is an easy tap in, you know were we’re going with this that one woman you know that is easy who has quite the reputation in your town and you know a friendly hello and compliment will get you in.

Summer Transfer Market

In football summer time is the busy period for a lot of clubs to buy players and get rid of players, you read the newspapers and newsnow to figure out which club being linked to which player. In real life we use facebook and twitter to figure out who is hooking up with whom and who is available.

You know It’s summer time when the skirts and dresses are getting  shorter, relationships  are coming to an abrupt end, you are  seeing more people in your local gym and of course everybody going on holiday. The summer holiday is kind of like one big long scouting trip, people expect you to stare, so stare as much as you want. Use bribes (buy drinks) lies (pretend you play in the Champions League instead of league 1) and tricks (catch her offside) while on this scouting trip. Nobody knows what your job is (which club your from) or how much money you have (go from basic salary to top earner) or how many shags you've had (go from a dry spell to prolific scorer). Do your research because a scouting trip without any signings is a wasted scouting trip!

1) The Gamble - 

Uncover a diamond in the rough - there's always that one player who nobody's seen before, none of the big guns have looked at them, and they're available, and often open to offers. In real life, she's young, she's inexperienced, but she's eager. You be the experience, you show the faith, and you offer her that first professional contract!

2) Summer Budget - Keep your budget open until the end of the window - don't blow your whole kitty at the start of the window, keep some funds back. This applies to those summer pulling holidays, weigh up the options then at the last possible minute make your decision. Nothing like committing to a signing early doors then seeing someone else scoop the top prize. Patience is a virtue, and a patient man is a wise man but don’t become too patient i.e. Arsene Wenger/

3) The Trial - Offer her a trial. Many clubs use trials as a way of testing out potential signings. Don't give out your number, don't commit to anything, keep things casual. At the end of the holiday if you want to extend the deal then you can. 

4) The loan Deal - The same applies to loan signings, sometimes boyfriends let girls go on holiday, the same way clubs let players out on loan. If you loan a girl, make sure you honor the agreement and release your interest at the end of the period, remember it was only a fling.

5) Older players- All else fails you can acquire an older women you know what we are talking about the older women who go on vacations with their friends looking to feel young again. Easy acquisition because they are experience and willing to be admire about younger men.
